Friendly Personality: As a Yoga Club lead, being friendly, personable, and encouraging is key. We are looking for natural leaders and community builders, people who are passionate not only about yoga and mindfulness but also about bringing community together.
We are committed to growing chapters authentically. As a leader, you’ll engage with everyone—from strangers and acquaintances to local business owners. Word-of-mouth recruiting is a big part of what we do.
Please consider: How comfortable am I with interacting with new people? If you’re not confident in talking to strangers and building connections, this might not be the right fit for you.
Local Engagement: Yoga Club leaders should feel at home in their local surroundings, confident in connecting with both familiar faces and new contacts. We’re looking for someone who knows the local yoga scene and has been living in the area for at least two years. This role requires a commitment of volunteering for at least one year, so please apply if you’re ready to plant your roots and grow.
Ask yourself: Am I comfortable cold-calling, messaging, or visiting local businesses to build relationships?
Creativity & Social Media: Each chapter is responsible for managing their city's Yoga Club Instagram account, with a leader dedicated to social media and community management. You’ll need to source local photographers or creatively showcase your events. Leaders should be social media savvy and work together to grow your digital presence.
Yoga Experience: Do you need to be the best yogi out there? Absolutely not. But you do need to be a yoga teacher with a 200 hour certification, who’s comfortable helping others grow their skills and encouraging your community.
Ask yourself: Am I confident teaching yoga, fostering connections, and supporting community growth?
Group Mentality: Teamwork with your co-leader is crucial. Success depends on working together and staying in sync. Being a chapter leader means embracing communication, self-reflection, and constructive feedback.
Ask yourself: Do I work well with others and thrive in a collaborative environment?
